How Open Banking fits.

Moolah’s existing connected-finance service uses Basiq for read-only Open Banking. Basiq is an Accredited Data Recipient, and its published CDR policy identifies Moolah Personal Finance Pty Ltd as a CDR representative. See Basiq’s current CDR policy for the provider’s role and current disclosures.

A connection supplies information for financial views; it does not authorise Moolah to transfer money. Eligible institutions, accounts and data depend on the connection you approve. Availability can differ between the existing service and beta versions, so check the connection flow in the version you use.

Connecting your own AI has a separate boundary.

The Moolah connector for Claude or ChatGPT gives read-only access to the planning areas you approve, such as goals, forecast cashflow and manually entered net worth. Bank transactions, bank balances and Open Banking data stay outside that connector.

Review the requested areas when granting access and use the connection manager to revoke a tool you no longer want connected. Permission for the connector does not give the AI authority to move money or change your Moolah plan.

You can begin with manual information.

Connecting a bank is optional. You can start with financial details you enter yourself and decide whether a supported connection is useful. Keep manual amounts current and review connected information when a recent change matters to a decision.

The privacy policy describes data handling and service providers. That document and the CDR policy currently carry development-review labels. This overview does not replace them or imply that an unfinished legal review has been completed.

Contact ryan@moolah.so for a Moolah privacy, consent or account issue. Do not email banking credentials or unnecessary financial records. For provider complaints, use the channels listed in Basiq’s current CDR policy.

To request removal of your account and associated data, follow the account deletion instructions, including if you cannot sign in. You can also read the OAIC’s Consumer Data Right information.
